Ramsey’s Retreat

About Us

Where Legacy Lives, and Life Slows Down

Welcome to Ramsey’s Retreat — where every trail, cabin, and creek tells a story generations in the making.

I’m honored to be the 8th confirmed generation of the Ramsey family to call this mountain home. My name is Miranda Ramsey-Cormier and this project — this place — is my life’s greatest privilege. What began as a simple desire to preserve my grandfather Bill Ramsey’s dream has blossomed into a living, breathing tribute to over 200 years of my family’s roots here in the Ozarks.

From the sawdust-covered hands of my grandfather, who ran Ramsey’s Sawmill for over 50 years, to the brave Civil War lieutenant — my great-great-great-great-grandfather — who led local men from Stone and Searcy County into battle and later served as sheriff for three counties at once, this land has seen it all: hardship, honor, craftsmanship, loss, and love.

And now, it’s your turn to write your chapter here.

More Than a Getaway — A Destination with a Soul

Ramsey’s Retreat isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s a place to remember what matters. Our themed cabins honor the passions and trades that built this legacy: from music and craftsmanship to storytelling, nature, and hard-earned rest. Each stay invites you to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with the rhythms of the land and yourself.

Wander the heritage trails, where arrowheads hide beneath fallen leaves. Cast a line into the spring-fed creek. Float beneath the stars in a private swimming hole carved by time. Or gather at our music pavilion, where the echoes of local talent and family gatherings ring out beneath an Arkansas sky.

Coming soon, we’ll host weddings, reunions, and celebrations in a space built with reverence for the past and joy for the future.

What Sets Us Apart
• Generations of Storytelling: You’re not just booking a stay — you’re stepping into a living legacy, shaped by hands who built, healed, taught, and told stories beneath these very trees.
• Intentional Connection: Our cabins are crafted with purpose, with interiors that speak to heritage, healing, and individual passion.
• Locally Rooted: We collaborate with local artisans, contractors, musicians, and skilled craftsmen — your visit directly supports our community and family businesses.
• Nature, Uninterrupted: With trails, fishing, stargazing, swimming, and open skies, we offer unspoiled beauty few places still can.
• The Destination Is the Reason: People don’t just come here to escape — they come to belong.

Our Promise

We are keepers of stories, stewards of land, and builders of belonging. Whether you’re here to rest, celebrate, explore, or heal, you’re part of something bigger. And when you leave, you’ll carry a piece of this legacy with you — just as we carry the memories of those who came before.

We hope you’ll return time and again. Because at Ramsey’s Retreat, you don’t just stay — you become part of the story.
